French companies interested in transiting goods to China and Iran via Ukraine
Several French companies are interested in the implementation of a number of infrastructure projects in Ukraine, in particular with regard to transit of goods from the EU to China and Iran, Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan has stated.
"We are in Paris with a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. We continue talks with several French companies that are interested in infrastructure projects. A meeting with the French railways has been held. We discussed the issues regarding transit of goods from the EU to China and Iran," Omelyan said.
According to him, the parties are now working on a plan of action, studying the potential of the Ukrainian market, the transit potential of Ukrainian railways, as well as the potential of cooperation with airports and with inland waterway transport.
"We are close to specific arrangements, but I would like not to disclose them now. In general, the high-level talks were held successfully, which shows France's interest in Ukraine," Omelyan said.
