Ukraine counts on further bipartisan support from USA – Korniyenko
Ukraine counts on further bipartisan support from the United States, said First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Korniyenko.
"It is important for us that the elections in the United States were held fairly, and this demonstrates the power of democracy, when the expression of will takes place transparently and without conflicts, which is an important signal for the international community. We are interested in stable and mutually beneficial cooperation with the US and count on further strong bipartisan support," Korniyenko said in a commentary to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
According to the First Deputy Speaker, issues of military support, economic cooperation and strengthening energy security remain relevant and important for Ukraine.
"Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine continues. And its end remains a priority for us. Our common struggle for freedom and security on the European continent and support for stability in the world is important for both Ukraine and the United States. We will continue to work with the elected authorities and move towards the implementation of the Victory Plan of the President of Ukraine. These are specific points and actions, in particular, strengthening the defense capability of our country. We hope that our common values will help bring a just peace to Ukraine closer," Korniyenko noted.
