Poroshenko calls for amending 2026 State Budget, dismissing govt in Rada

On Tuesday, the MP of Ukraine and leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, called on MPs to urgently amend the State Budget for 2026. He stressed that all non-targeted expenses should be allocated to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also called for the dismissal of the entire Cabinet of Ministers, some of whose members are under investigation for corruption in the energy sector. This information was reported on Tuesday by the political force's website.

"I have the impression that the authorities, including the Verkhovna Rada, and the rest of the country live in completely different realities. In their reality, there is no darkness, no bombed-out Kharkiv, no Odesa hit by missiles, no eighteen hours of darkness in Kyiv, no missiles in Ternopil. Instead, there is the 'United Marathon,' 'strategic communications,' and the lies of Telegram channels," Poroshenko said.

He called on MPs to immediately consider the bill amending the state budget. "The army is currently living and fighting without an increase in financial support, with a budget that unfortunately part of this Verkhovna Rada voted for, and which was signed. Today, we registered amendments to this budget. All of this nonsense, from deputy salaries to cash back totaling 100 billion, is being transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the politician said.

He announced that European Solidarity had already collected over a hundred signatures for the government's resignation.

"It is immoral to demand sanctions against Russia from our partners while refusing to vote to ban the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline. It is immoral to demand democracy while allowing extrajudicial searches of NABU detectives, opposition leaders, and public activists. It is immoral to fight Russia and not to ban Russian Telegram channels. It is immoral to claim you are fighting corruption yet not dismiss the Mindichgate figures from the current government and authorities," Poroshenko said.
