Sybiha on temporary 30-day ceasefire: This is in no way about frozen conflict
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha explained Ukraine's position regarding the "30-day ceasefire".
"The joint statement speaks of a temporary ceasefire, for a limited period of 30 days, and only in the event of mutual consent to it from the Russian Federation. The American side will now talk to the Russians about their readiness or unwillingness to end the war. Why this temporary ceasefire is important - because this is in no way about a frozen conflict," he wrote on Facebook.
The minister stressed that this is only "an attempt to begin the path to ending the war in a fair way."
"This is also a step that demonstrates who is really interested in peace," he noted.
