During two months, over 2,000 Ukrainians join AFU without recruitment centers' participation – source
The recruitment system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is justifying itself, although the number of volunteers is not enough to replenish the Ukrainian army, a source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) said.
"The recruitment system is justifying itself, but does not provide the necessary number of citizens who need to be recruited for service," the source said.
He said that in less than two months, more than 2,000 people have been voluntarily called up without the participation of the Territorial Centers for Recruitment.
The source said there are currently five recruitment centers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and another one will be in the Unmanned Systems Forces.
According to him, there is a trend towards an increase in the number of those who express a desire to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine voluntarily.
