Ukrainian Legion begins recruiting volunteers-citizens of Ukraine in Lublin
The Ukrainian Legion has begun recruiting volunteers-citizens of Ukraine in the Polish city of Lublin, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.
According to the department's statement on the Telegram channel, the first recruiting center has opened on the basis of the Ukrainian consulate in Lublin and operates daily from 09:00 to 17:00 without breaks.
"A military medical commission is operating on site. Volunteers are trained at a training ground provided by the Polish side. Ukraine provides uniforms and logistical support, Poland provides weapons and equipment," the ministry says.
It is noted the process for volunteers includes: signing a contract; 35-day training at the training ground; further advanced training at NATO bases in Europe.
An application can be submitted through the official website legion.army.gov.ua or at the consulates and embassies of Ukraine.
