Kharkiv region plans to bring about 13,000 children offline during the school year, said head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov.
"Only the construction of protective structures as an extension of a safe educational space can guarantee a return to offline education," he said on the air of the national telethon on Monday.
He noted that the region has already received the first funds for the construction of six such protective structures, and 23 more are in line.
"As the construction is completed, we will take our children to offline education. For this academic year, we have plans in the region to bring about 13,000 children to offline education out of a total of almost 200,000," he added.
Earlier, deputy head of Kharkiv Regional Administration, Yevhen Ivanov, said that today offline training is possible only in one district of Kharkiv region and in a metro-school in Kharkiv.
