Fedorov discusses digital reforms with Pritzker in Davos

Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov met at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos with U.S. Special Representative for Economic Recovery of Ukraine Penny Pritzker.

"eExcise, customs clearance of cars in Diia and other digital reforms - which was discussed with Penny Pritzker in Davos. The World Economic Forum and the marathon of meetings of the Ministry of Digital Transformation team are in full swing. I met Penny Pritzker, the U.S. Special Representative for Economic Recovery of Ukraine. We told and inspired Ms. Pritzker about digitalization, defense-tech, Diia.City and Mriya," Fedorov wrote on the Telegram channel on Monday evening.

The minister noted that the United States, in addition to allocating funds for the needs of Ukraine, also helps attract investment from private companies.

"Investment is about a win-win approach, job creation, economic development and GDP growth. However, in order for investors to come, it is necessary to create favorable conditions - an open market, a transparent tax and customs system," Fedorov added.

"Currently, the Ministry of Digital Transformation team is already working on the implementation of eExcise, which will fight the gray market, and customs clearance of cars in Diia, which will increase the transparency of customs work," he emphasized.
