McDonald's is preparing to renovate its restaurant on Vokzalna Square in Kyiv and is also looking for a site near Lviv Railway Station, McDonald's Ukraine Development Director Vitaliy Stefurak said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

He noted that in several major cities – Kyiv, Dnipro, or Odesa – McDonald's restaurants are located near railway stations.

"We are considering new opportunities for locations near key train stations. First and foremost, we are interested in Lviv station, but this is just a direction of work that we are currently exploring," Stefurak said.

He also mentioned that among the four restaurants scheduled for renovation this year is the McDonald's on Vokzalna Square in Kyiv.

The first McDonald's restaurant in Ukraine was opened on May 24, 1997, in Kyiv.

As reported, on September 20, 2022, McDonald's began a phased reopening of restaurants in Ukraine. As of February 24 of the same year, the chain had 109 restaurants in 24 cities across the country. As of spring 2024, there are 101 operating restaurants.
