Kuleba's visit to China brings closer potential meeting of Ukrainian, Chinese leaders – MFA
Work on the meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and China - Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Xi Jinping - continues constantly, and the visit of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to China brought a potential meeting of the heads of state closer, said spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhiy Tykhyi.
"Have the talks, Minister Kuleba's visit to China, and a potential meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and China brought it closer? Undoubtedly, it has brought it closer. But it is too early to say when such a meeting will take place, when this agreement will be reached,” he said at a briefing on Tuesday.
According to the spokesperson, the Ukrainian-Chinese dialogue is developing very dynamically, especially this year.
"And we are convinced that it will continue to develop, at different levels, there will also be meetings and conversations. I can say that the work on the meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and China is a constant work that is underway," said Tykhyi.
Answering a question about a possible visit to Ukraine by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the spokesperson also said that "work on contacts, meetings, telephone conversations, visits is ongoing.”
"Diplomacy never stops this work and the search for opportunities to organize a meeting of leaders. Now this work is also ongoing. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. Therefore, I will not disclose additional details yet,” Tykhyi pointed out.
