NATO notes Ukraine's progress in military reforms

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that Ukraine is moving forward in its military reforms.

"Ukraine is making progress," he said at the press conference after the end of a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO commission in Brussels on Thursday. He added that NATO and Ukraine were working together at various levels.

According to him, NATO is extending its presence in Kyiv, specifically in its liaison mission.

NATO sees practical obstacles but it will solve them together with the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, and NATO also sees steps forward, Stoltenberg said.

He noted that corruption was the main problem faced in conducting reforms in Ukraine.

According to him, NATO also helps by training instructors to teach Ukrainian officers.

NATO is helping Ukraine to create its training center, Stoltenberg said.
