Zelenskyy discusses investment in Ukraine with top managers in Davos
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with top managers and owners of large companies, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot in Davos.
"Investment in Ukraine, our defense industry, support for our economy, development of the agricultural sector, energy and education, the importance of continuing pressure on Russia through sanctions and maintaining unity to achieve a fair peace are the topics that formed the basis of our important conversation," he said in a Telegram message on Wednesday.
The President thanked the participants of the meeting for their willingness to support Ukraine, in particular through investment, and to continue to facilitate the restoration of the Ukrainian economy after the end of the war.
According to the presidential press service, the meeting took place as part a panel session of the World Economic Forum.
During the meeting, Zelenskyy spoke about the situation at the front and the results of the Kursk operation. He emphasized the importance of continuing pressure on Russia, since this is the only way to force Russia to establish peace.
"This must be a fair peace, and not just peace for the sake of peace. And we must also understand what will happen tomorrow. And this is a problem. Because we do not trust Putin and will not trust him even after the war is over. Therefore, it is very important to maintain unity between the United States of America and Europe," he said.
The head of state also informed the participants about the achievements of the Ukrainian defense industry.
"We have implemented many correct technological solutions. These are drones, electronic warfare systems. Ukraine has produced millions of drones, kamikaze drones, reconnaissance drones. We are already using drones in logistics in war – we transfer water, food, medicine by drones. Many progressive things that civilization can use in peacetime," he said.
The participants also discussed cooperation with the agricultural sector, investment in the Ukrainian education, energy and economy.
