Zelenskyy discusses use of Storm Shadow missiles against military targets in Russia with British PM

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, within the framework of the anniversary NATO summit in Washington, held his first meeting with new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, during which he noted the continued support for Ukraine from the new British government.

"Thank you for being with us since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Thank you for all the military and financial packages and support. This morning, I read your messages about the permission to use your very powerful and high-quality Storm Shadow missiles on military targets in Russian territory. We are very grateful!" Zelenskyy said.

The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom discussed the practical implementation of this decision.

The leaders also focused on further expanding Ukraine's long-range capabilities in cooperation with other partners.

Zelenskyy noted the UK's leadership in the Maritime Capability Coalition. The parties discussed the prospects for developing the Ukrainian Navy with the support of the UK.

Additionally, they paid particular attention to the results of the Peace Summit and the preparation of thematic conferences for the implementation of its decisions.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in an interview with Bloomberg, said that Ukraine can use Storm Shadow missiles at its discretion.
