Okhmatdyt hospital attacked by Kh-101 missile, decision made by Russia's senior leadership – PGO
The decision to inflict missile strikes on Ukraine, including the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, was made by the senior leadership of Russia, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin has said.
"It was a combined strike, which was simultaneously delivered by air-, sea- and ground-based missiles, so it is obvious that the decision to attack was made by the top leadership of Russia," he said in a commentary to the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency on Tuesday.
Referring to preliminary data from military experts, he noted that the missile that Russian forces used to hit Okhmatdyt was the Kh-101 cruise missile.
"This is confirmed by the video recording of the strike, the design of the missile and the trajectory of its flight. Such conclusions are also confirmed by the analysis of fragments from the crime scene. The video of the strike against the Okhmatdyt children's hospital clearly shows a missile that moves without any deviations towards the specific target. Because, according to Russia itself, the Kh-101 cruise missile is highly accurate and resistant to electronic warfare, we can conclude that the children's hospital was the target of the attack with high-precision Russian weapons," the Prosecutor General said.
According to Kostin, it is most likely that all other attacks on Monday were specifically aimed at civilian targets in Kyiv, Kryvy Rih, Dnipro, and other Ukrainian cities.
