Russia daily drops about 100 guided aerial bombs on positions of Ukrainian troops – First Dpty Defense Minister

The massive use of guided aerial bombs is one of the main tools of Russian terror; every day, about a hundred guided aerial bombs are dropped by Russian terrorists on the positions of Ukrainian troops and on front-line cities and villages, said First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.

"The Kremlin continues large-scale terror against Ukrainians. The enemy is changing its attack tactics, using various means of destruction in combination - all in order to inflict the greatest casualties and damage on us! Every day, about a hundred guided bombs are dropped by Russian terrorists on the positions of our troops and on front-line cities and villages," Havryliuk said in an exclusive commentary to Interfax-Ukraine.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense indicated that most often Russian terrorists use bombs weighing 250-500 kg. "Russians are playing to raise the stakes in the use of this type of weapon. Now the massive use of bombs is one of the main instruments of Russian terror," he said.

According to Havryliuk, the command of the Russian Army understands that the gradual strengthening of the firepower of the Ukrainian Defense Forces thanks to the supply of weapons and military equipment from partners, the arrival soon of the first F-16 aircraft, which will strengthen Ukrainian air defense, reduces the Russian Federation's chances of success on the battlefield.

Therefore, as the First Deputy Minister of Defense emphasized, the aggressor is now trying to increase the intensity of hostilities in order to push through the front line and deplete the Ukrainian troops as much as possible.

"In order to reduce the high activity of enemy aircraft and protect our positions, cities and villages, we need additional air defense systems and aircraft. This would allow us to drive enemy aircraft further away from our territories. And, accordingly, the Russians would not have the opportunity to actively use bombs and missiles, in particular in Kharkiv region, Donetsk region and other areas," said the lieutenant general.
