Ukrzaliznytsia warns of worsening of situation at road checkpoints on Polish border, calling for cargo to be sent by rail
The situation with the blockade of automobile checkpoints on the Polish border may worsen, warned Ukrzaliznytsia.
In this regard, it recommends that companies moving cargo across the border reorient them from road transport to rail.
“Once again I want to emphasize that today the problems that arise at the Polish border are systemic in nature. Everyone is warning us about this, so please get ready. Logistics security is a very important issue... Take a closer look at our service: container, piggyback trains... We are ready to transport your cargo,” said Valeriy Tkachev, deputy director of the commercial department of Ukrzaliznytsia, at a meeting of the exporters’ office on Friday.
Earlier it was reported that on Friday night, Polish farmers stopped the protest that began on Tuesday at the Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska checkpoint for freight vehicles.
