Hereha re-appointed commander of AFU Support Forces – decree
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Dmytro Hereha, who previously held this position, as commander of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Corresponding decree No. 315/2024 dated May 9 was published on the website of the head of the Ukrainian state.
Hereha, born in 1971, took part in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine since 2014. He was appointed commander of the AFU Support Forces by decree of the Minister of Defense on August 9, 2021, but on March 4, 2024, he was relieved of his duties by decree of the President of Ukraine.
