Deliveries of long-range ATACMS to Ukraine can be started by end of next week
Chairman of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee, Mark Warner, hopes that the law on assistance to Ukraine will be signed by the U.S. President on Tuesday or Wednesday, which will launch the supply of long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, the senator said in an interview with CBS News on Sunday.
“I hope once the President signs, we've been told that there is it is the President signature, making sure Congress does its job that these materials will be in transit by the end of the week,” said Warner.
To a clarifying question from CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan, if these will really be longer-range ATACMS, the senator replied: “I believe the administration was prepared over the last couple of months to prepare or to provide ATACMS. It is written into this legislation,” he said.
