The head of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the raids of Russian volunteers on the territory of the Russian Federation were able to divert enemy forces at the front to defend the Russian border lines.

"When the situation changes more at the front, I think it will become easier for them to move forward and achieve their goal. As of now, it is very beneficial for us that they were able to stretch the group, divert forces at the front to defend their borders," he said on a national telethon on Sunday.

At the same time, Budanov noted: "Now, unfortunately, they cannot reach Moscow with weapons in their hands - I'm sure of that. But over time, when the situation allows it, they will still play their role."
