Poland, Ukraine govt representatives to meet on March 28

Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk has announced that a meeting on the border proposed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not be held, adding that representatives of the Polish and Ukrainian governments will meet on March 28, Polsat News reported.

Tusk said that in recent days he had held a number of meetings with the leaders of several countries. He also assured of "constant contact" with President of Poland Andrzej Duda.

"I want to emphasize that I do not stop trying to protect the interests of Polish farmers. We are constantly talking about this with Ukraine and the European Commission," Tusk said.

The Polish government "will look for protective solutions for Polish farmers – both through domestic methods and through further negotiations with Ukraine and European institutions," the prime minister said.

"Farmers can count on me," he said at a press conference.

Tusk emphasized that "in these days, in these weeks, the fate of Ukraine hangs in the balance."

"I don't need to convince anyone that our fates also hang in the balance. Every attack in public space, supporting [Russian President Vladimir] Putin's narrative, is high treason. We will not tolerate this in any way, he said," he said.
