The Ukrainian model of a mine clearance vehicle equipped with an unmanned control system and not inferior in its characteristics to foreign analogues is being prepared for certification, after which it will be put into mass production, First Deputy Prime Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko said on Facebook.

"Our goal is an effective mine clearance market. And the fact that this is the third Ukrainian mine clearance vehicle in almost six months indicates that business is interested in developing this area," the minister wrote.

According to her, the developers of the third Ukrainian model were the resident of the bootcamp for innovations of the Ministry of Economy – efarm pro company. The machine is based on the chassis of the T-156 tractor, equipped with an unmanned control system and can mine the territory along a predetermined trajectory. Thanks to the precision farming system, the distance between the mine clearance lanes will be only 2 cm.

The machine can clean up to 5,000 square m/hour. The MV-10, recently transferred to Ukraine by the European Union, has the same capacity, Svyrydenko clarified and added that the spare parts in efarm pro are completely Ukrainian-made.

"Firstly, it is the support of Ukrainian manufacturers, jobs and additional taxes to the budget. And secondly, the opportunity to repair the car in almost any city," stated the First Deputy Prime Minister.

Svyrydenko stressed that the development is being prepared for certification and after completing all procedures, it is ready to be put into mass production. According to preliminary calculations, the car will cost significantly less than foreign analogues of this type.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the program to support innovations in humanitarian demining by the Kyiv School of Economics and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is ongoing, and invited everyone with ideas to accelerate the process of land clearance to apply for participation in the bootcamp.
