AFU Dpty Commander-in-Chief on drones with artificial intelligence at front: Work underway, pilot projects already being tested

1 min read

Pilot projects of drones with artificial intelligence are already being tested in some units at the front, said Colonel Vadym Sukharevsky, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"There are such attempts, there are systems. I want to say right away that this is a very difficult process in terms of the very organization and implementation of the use of these drones at the front, there are nuances," Sukharevsky said at a briefing, answering the question whether the partners are really working to provide Ukraine with new drones with artificial intelligence.

He pointed out that "this work is underway," and even some pilot projects are already being tested by "some pilots, separate units" at the front. "Therefore, I believe in the near-term development of this area," Sukharevsky added.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the UK, together with other countries, including the United States, is working to provide Ukraine with new drones with artificial intelligence that could simultaneously attack Russian targets.
