URCS implementing project to expand employment opportunities in five regions
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS), with the support of its colleagues from Spain, Switzerland, and Denmark, is implementing the "Reset: Expanding Employment Opportunities" project in five regions.
"The goal of the project is to help a person gain skills and knowledge that will improve him professionally so that in the future it will be easier to get a job," URCS reported on Facebook.
Currently, the project is being implemented in Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, and Vinnytsia regions. As part of the project, information sessions are held, followed by individual consultations. After that, a plan is drawn up to further train the person in skills to help him in his profession. The project provides for the payment of training for tractor drivers, drivers, and accountants on the transition to the financial and accounting reporting system AAS [Accounting Automated System], hairdressers, seamstresses, and on acquiring digital literacy. The list is limited and includes professions that are popular today and represented among vacancies.
"Consulting and training in certain areas for people forced to move from other regions not only helps improve their economic situation but also affects self-esteem and sense of dignity... It helps strengthen their social position and increases their status in the new environment," Project Coordinator Oksana Dodon said.
The project also includes a limited number of mini-grants for business restoration for people forced to move to a new place and for residents in those regions where such businesses are created.
