Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó announced that he was heading to Ukraine on Monday, January 29.
"We are leaving for the Carpathians. We want to establish cooperation between Ukraine and Hungary, and we will do everything to ensure that the Hungarian community in the Carpathian region returns its former rights," he said on Facebook.
Szijjártó later said he was heading to the city of Uzhgorod and had a long day ahead.
"Heading to Uzhgorod, a long day awaits us... Everything must be done to ensure that the Hungarian community of Zakarpattia regains its former rights," he said on Facebook.
As reported, on January 29 in Uzhgorod there will be a meeting between Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak with Head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Szijjártó.
