USA to give Ukraine 200 M113 APCs, 11 Mi-17 helicopters, 300 Switchblade drones

The United States will send 200 M113 armored personnel carriers, 11 Mi-17 helicopters, 300 Switchblade drones to Kyiv as part of an $800 million military aid package to Ukraine, the Pentagon said on Wednesday.

At a briefing, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby showed reporters a list of weapons that the United States will transfer to Ukraine.

He said that part of this drawdown package are new batches of weapons systems already being delivered, and the other part is new weapons systems that were not previously supplied to Ukraine.

Also, Ukraine should receive eighteen 155 mm howitzers along with 40,000 artillery rounds, 500 missiles for Javelin anti-tank systems and thousands of other counter-artillery systems, 10 counter-battery radars, two air surveillance radar systems, 100 armored Humvee vehicles, unmanned vessels to defend the coast.

In addition, the list includes medical equipment, equipment for protection against nuclear, chemical and biological threats, 30,000 body armor and helmets, more than 2,000 units of optics and laser rangefinders, C-4 explosives, M18A1 Claymore mines.

Earlier on Wednesday, U.S. President Joe Biden announced that the Adminsitration is authorizing an $800 million military aid package for Ukraine, including artillery systems, armored personnel carriers and helicopters.
