Russia starts covert mobilization of reservists to bring military units into wartime state

The military-political leadership of the Russian Federation has begun a covert mobilization of reservists in order to bring military units into wartime state, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

"The military-political leadership of the Russian Federation began covert mobilization of reservists in order to bring military units into wartime states. When selecting candidates, preference is given to persons who already have combat experience. Private, sergeant and officer personnel are subject to mobilization. The main regions are also identified for mobilization: the Krasnodar region, the Perm region, the republics of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kalmykia," the report said on Monday.

It is noted that "material incentives remain the main motivational factor for reservists. In addition, the opinion is spreading among the Russian population that participants in the war with Ukraine can improve their financial situation through the so-called trophies, that is, robbery and looting."

The command of Russian Armed Forces expects to attract approximately 60,000 people through mobilization.

"The staffing of weapons and military equipment will be due to the removal of obsolete equipment from storage. Some samples have been stored at bases and warehouses for more than 30 years," the General Staff said.
