Forward command post of Russia's 49th Army destroyed in south of Ukraine – Arestovych

The forward command post of the 49th Army of the Russian Federation in southern Ukraine has been destroyed, Oleksiy Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President's Office, has said.

"According to preliminary data, the forward command post of the 49th Army of the Russian Federation in the south and a large landing ship were destroyed, which was carrying approximately 400 marines, 20 tanks and 45 armored personnel carriers. It suddenly exploded in the port of Berdiansk. The other was damaged. According to the Ukrainian Naval Forces, both ships were commanded by Ukrainian traitors who defected to Russia back in 2014," Arestovych said at a briefing at the President's Office.

Regarding the current information about the situation at the front, he noted that the enemy in many areas does not have the resources to continue the offensive.

"The front is almost frozen. The enemy stands still and has problems with the supply of fuel, ammunition and other types of material support. Naked and barefoot invaders," he said.

According to Arestovych, of the few areas where the enemy continues to concentrate efforts are Izium, Maryinka, Mariupol and the right bank of the Dnipro in Kherson region.

"But we must say that the enemy has actually become on the defensive there," the adviser to the head of the President's Office said.

As reported, a large landing ship Orsk was destroyed near the port of Berdiansk (Zaporizhia region).
