Wife of coronavirus-diagnosed citizen of Chernivtsi has no symptoms of disease
Wife of coronavirus (COVID-19) infected citizen of Chernivtsi is healthy, no symptoms of disease, Chernivtsi Regional State Administration reported.
"Citizen of Chernivtsi diagnosed with COVID-19, feels himself better. Wife of ill was isolated, her health is also satisfactory, there are no signs of disease," the administration wrote on Facebook.
The administration added that a news on COVID-19 infection of citizen of Chernivtsi in Rivne was fake.
Four other residents of Bukovyna were taken to an infectious disease department of the Regional Clinical Hospital with symptoms of an acute respiratory infection. Their material was sent to the virology laboratory of the Public Health Center for being tested for COVID-19.
The first coronavirus case in Ukraine was confirmed by a laboratory on March 3. A resident of Chernivtsi returned from a trip to Italy on February 29. His wife, who traveled together with him and stayed home in self-isolation upon the return, was placed under medical observation on March 3.
