Ukrainian Red Cross evacuates 11 elderly people from Kherson
A Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) team has evacuated 11 elderly residents of Kherson, which is under constant air attacks by Russian troops.
“In one day, three crews of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kherson region evacuated 11 people aged 64 to 88. Among them were people with reduced mobility and individuals with mental health conditions,” URCS said on Facebook Monday.
The journey to a safer location took nearly 10 hours. Volunteers provided psychological support throughout the evacuation.
