Orban proposes lifting sanctions against Russian energy
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote a letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, initiating a review and lifting of sanctions against Russian energy.
“The Ukrainian oil blockade and the war in the Middle East are sending oil prices soaring. Europe must act. Today, I wrote to President Costa and Von der Leyen calling for the review and suspension of sanctions on Russian energy. Today I initiated this in a letter to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen," Orbán said on social media X.
In addition, he said that the government is working to maintain the price level for diesel and gasoline.
