Ukraine expresses solidarity with UAE, urges protection for Ukrainians – Sybiha
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha, during telephone talks with the Head of the UAE Foreign Ministry Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, asked to provide Ukrainians in the country with the necessary protection and care in the current conditions.
"I expressed Ukraine's solidarity with the UAE, which has suffered a particularly large number of reckless Iranian attacks in recent days. We condemn these attacks, which are unprovoked and illegal acts of aggression. They also demonstrate the unacceptable threat that the Iranian regime poses to the entire region and beyond," Sybiha said on the X social network.
The ministers discussed efforts to support long-term peace and security in the Middle East. As Sybiha said, Ukraine wishes the countries of the region guaranteed security and proper protection of life.
"I addressed my Emirati colleague, requesting that Ukrainian citizens in the UAE receive the necessary protection and care in the current circumstances. I am grateful to His Highness for confirming that their rights will be fully protected and that they will receive proper treatment in all aspects," the Foreign Minister said.
The ministers also discussed our bilateral cooperation, exchanged invitations to visit, and agreed on possible future contacts at the highest level.
