Four killed, four wounded in shelling of Sumy region – authorities

Four civilians were killed and another four were wounded as a result of shelling by occupying forces in Sumy region. In total, according to Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov, the enemy carried out more than 100 attacks on 30 settlements across 16 territorial communities in the region.

"In Yampil community, women aged 72 and 67 were killed. According to updated information, yesterday during debris removal rescuers recovered fragments of the body of one of the victims. Efforts to retrieve the bodies and clear destroyed structures are ongoing. A 60-year-old woman was also wounded; Vorozhba community two men aged 31 and 21 were killed; men aged 47 and 52 were wounded (drone strikes on vehicles); Sumy community a 63-year-old man was wounded and received medical assistance without hospitalization (UAV strike)," Hryhorov wrote on Telegram.

In the Sumy community, an educational institution, private homes, an outbuilding, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities were damaged. In the Yampil community, an administrative building was destroyed and private homes were damaged. In the Vorozhba community, passenger cars were damaged. In the Khutir-Mykhailivsky community, non-residential premises, agricultural machinery, and an infrastructure facility were damaged. In the Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske communities, infrastructure facilities and private homes were damaged. In the Hlukhiv community, a non-residential building was damaged, and in the Stepanivka community, a private vehicle was damaged.

Twenty-eight people were evacuated from frontline communities.
