Nearly 100 families of missing civilians receive over UAH 2 mln in support from URCS
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provided nearly 100 families of missing civilians with financial assistance, totaling over UAH 2 million.
"From August to December 2025, the Ukrainian Red Cross, with support from the British Red Cross, ran a one-time cash assistance programme for families of civilians reported missing," URCS said on Facebook Friday.
The support covered basic household expenses as well as additional costs related to searching for a missing relative, including travel, document processing, and legal advice.
The initiative targeted the most socio-economically vulnerable families who, between August 2024 and July 2025, had submitted a search request to the Ukrainian Red Cross or the International Committee of the Red Cross and completed a needs assessment.
