Prosperity Package still being finalized with USA, Europe – Zelenskyy
The documents from the Prosperity Package are still being finalized, but it is important that this package be trilateral – between Ukraine, the United States and Europe, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
"So far, we are all still working on the documents from the Prosperity Package. Most likely, it will be a trilateral package of Europe, the United States and Ukraine. One document, where Europe, the United States and Ukraine will be. All three of us will sign it," Zelenskyy said at a meeting with journalists.
He said it is very good that now the Americans and the Europeans have started talking about this, because initially different documents were envisaged.
"They may be different, but then they are different recovery plans, different funds. It would probably be difficult. We are restoring one state, but we have different plans for recovery. That is why now the Americans are talking to the Europeans so that there is one document," Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, on December 24 of last year, he reported that the ninth point of the draft 20-point plan to end the war in Ukraine provides for the creation of several funds to address the issues of restoring the Ukrainian economy, the goal will be to attract $800 billion through equity, grants, debt obligations, and private sector contributions to help Ukraine fully realize its potential.
