Enemy losses in Jan exceed 31,700 troops - Syrsky on results of combat operations, AFU’s training
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky reported that in January, the enemy's total losses in killed and seriously wounded amounted to more than 31,700 people, exceeding the volume of its reinforcements.
"This is the result of combat operations that significantly reduced the enemy's offensive capabilities. And this is a result that is being honed in our training centers," Syrsky noted in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently continuing to improve the quality of training. The Commander-in-Chief heard reports from the heads of training centers on the implementation of the recruit adaptation program at training grounds, the organization of air cover for training sites, and the construction and equipment of shelters.
"Furthermore, we must step up our game and achieve better results in terms of instructor quality and attitude, as well as the equipment of training centers and training grounds, safety, and social and living conditions," Syrsky noted.
Therefore, according to him, the task has been set to strengthen oversight of the condition of training centers and the quality of training both at training centers and in combat brigades.
As part of this oversight, the quality audit of basic combined arms training, which has been regularly conducted in training units and combat brigades since last fall, will continue.
In particular, a comprehensive exam has been introduced for military personnel recently returned from training centers, allowing for the identification of skill gaps and additional training before combat missions. A system for automated feedback collection and analysis is also being implemented, allowing for response to changes in social and living conditions at the training unit.
"We're testing the provision of feedback electronically through the Delta X. The Airborne Assault Troops, which remain the flagship for training in the Ukrainian army, were the first to take this on," the Commander-in-Chief added.
