The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has provided assistance to victims at the sites of the Russian airstrike in Kyiv and Kharkiv.

"Kyiv. The rapid response team of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross promptly arrived at the site of another attack this night. Together with rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, volunteers conducted a round-up of residential buildings to identify victims," the URCS said on Facebook on Tuesday.

In Kharkiv this night, the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response team in the Kharkiv region worked together with rescue services. Volunteers provided first aid and psychological support to the victims.

In the morning, in coordination with the Emergency Department of the Kharkiv City Council, the URC rapid response team deployed heating points in places where people were left without heating. At the heat stations, residents can get hot drinks, snacks, have the opportunity to recharge their phones, and also receive psychosocial support.

As reported, the number of victims from the Russian nighttime missile and drone attack on Kyiv has increased to six people. Some five districts of the capital were hit by enemy strikes, residential buildings were hit.

On February 3, the Russian Armed Forces shelled Kharkiv for more than three hours, inflicting targeted strikes on energy infrastructure. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the city authorities will have to make difficult decisions, including draining the coolants in the heating systems of 820 buildings.
