I don't know how it will end – MP Tymoshenko on posting UAH 33 mln bail

Leader of the Batkivshchyna faction, Member of Parliament Yulia Tymoshenko, has said she did not ask her party members to raise UAH 33 million for bail for her, but they are doing it to prevent her arrest.

"I personally do not have such funds, at this moment I cannot contribute my finances. But I know that my entire team - my deputies, party members, and all regional structures… I did not ask them for help… the entire party is working to prevent them from arresting me," Tymoshenko said during a break in the court hearing on the seizure of her funds, commenting to journalists on the information that as of Tuesday, UAH 13.5 million had been posted for her, and also answering the question of whether she was looking for the remaining amount to post bail, since there is less than a day left for this.

She added: "By setting such huge bails that a person cannot pay, they aim to ensure that the bail is not paid and then they can throw her in jail."

"I don’t know how it will end yet," Tymoshenko concluded.

On Wednesday, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) is considering the issue of the seizure of Tymoshenko’s property. At the court hearing, she asked the court not to seize her account and to close the case in general due to the absence of a crime.

"The seizure of the account will not allow me to live normally, to work normally," she said, adding that she has a single hryvnia account in Oschadbank.

As reported, on January 16, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court set a bail of UAH 33 million for Tymoshenko and procedural obligations.

On January 14, the NABU and SAPO informed the head of the parliamentary faction of suspicion of offering to provide an illegal benefit to the people’s deputies of Ukraine. According to the investigation, after the discovery in December 2025 of the facts of receiving illegal benefits by Ukrainian MPs for making decisions on draft laws in parliament, the suspect initiated negotiations with individual MPs on the introduction of a systemic mechanism for providing illegal benefits in exchange for loyal behavior during voting. Tymoshenko herself rejects the accusations and claims that there was a political order against her.
