Strategic goal is to eliminate 50,000 Russian soldiers per month – Fedorov

Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov has called one of the key stages of forcing Russia to peace by force the achievement of the strategic goal of eliminating 50,000 Russian occupiers per month.

"The president set a clear task: to build a system that is capable of stopping the enemy in the sky, advancing on the ground, and intensifying asymmetric and cyber strikes on the enemy and its economy. To make the price of war for Russia such that it will not be able to bear it. Thus, to force peace by force. Diplomats are engaged in their own track, but in parallel we must do ours," Fedorov said during a meeting with journalists.

According to him, there are key stages that will lead to this. The first is the restructuring of management in the structure of the department. "We want to change the paradigm that the Ministry of Defense is only about procurement and provision. This is the work of civilian oversight and coordination. We need the right dialogue, the right synchronization. We need to set the right tasks. A system that does not have them begins to get sick. Therefore, management is the first task," the head of the department said.

The minister emphasized that management should be built around those who are able to achieve the set goals.

"If people do not demonstrate measurable results, they cannot remain in the system," Fedorov noted.

The second strategic goal, the Minister of Defense emphasized, is to kill 50,000 Russian occupiers per month. According to him, last month Ukrainian soldiers killed 35,000, and all these losses are verified on video. "If we reach the figure of 50,000, we will see what will happen to the enemy. They perceive people as a resource, the problems with which are already obvious," Fedorov said.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Fedorov as Minister of Defense on January 14. The day before, the people's deputies dismissed him from the post of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation at his request.
