Water, heat supply in Kyiv remains difficult, emergency power outage schedules introduced – Mayor Klitschko

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko says the situation with water and heat supply in Pechersk and three left-bank districts of Kyiv is difficult after the night Russian attack.

"The situation with water and heat supply on the left bank and in Pechersk remains difficult. Regarding electricity, Ukrenergo has introduced emergency shutdown schedules in the capital," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on Tuesday.

He did not specify when water and heat supply is expected to be restored in the relevant districts of the capital. "Utilities and energy workers are working to restore damaged critical infrastructure facilities," Klitschko said.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba announced the restoration of water supply in the capital, interrupted as a result of Russian shelling, by the end of the current day. He also reported that as a result of the attacks, 5,635 houses (46% of the capital’s housing stock) were left without heating, 12 of which have not had it since January 9.
