Ukrainian Red Cross provides rehabilitation for over 40 veteran families in 2025
Under the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) social recovery program, more than 40 veteran families underwent rehabilitation in 2025.
"In 2025, a total of 43 veteran families rested and completed recovery within the framework of the social recovery program," the Ukrainian Red Cross Society reported on Facebook on Sunday.
The fourth stage of the social recovery program for veterans and their families took place on December 13–20. During that week, 12 veteran families with children rested and recovered at the Bereh Nadii (Shore of Hope) recreational center in Khmelnytsky region. Participants in the project were supported by a multidisciplinary team from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, including psychologists, rehabilitation specialists, and invited experts from the recreational center.
The program combined psychoeducational sessions, physical and recovery practices, family activities with creative elements, pottery, and a live-music evening. Participants also had the opportunity to use the salt room and other recovery procedures offered by the recreational center.
A separate program was organized for children, with volunteers working with them daily and conducting developmental activities with creative elements.
