Nawrocki makes it clear that he supports transfer of MiG-29 if Poland receives anti-drone technology from Ukraine

Polish President Karol Nawrocki noted that he is not the one making the decision to transfer the MiG-29s to Ukraine, but believes that exchanging the aircraft for anti-drone systems "does not contradict our policy."

"We are experiencing a completely unnecessary storm. Unfortunately, public opinion has been somewhat misinformed on this issue… Making a decision regarding the MiGs themselves is not within my authority," he said at his first joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Warsaw on Friday.

However, according to Nawrocki, Poland is seeking a "symmetrical, strategic partnership."

He believes that exchanging MiG-29 fighters for anti-drone systems does not conflict with Polish policy.

"Therefore, after the formalities are completed, I believe this issue will be resolved," Nawrocki said.
