Moscow talks with Trump envoys yield nothing on Ukraine, Putin aide confirms
Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov, at a press briefing after Putin's conversation with Trump's special envoys Witkoff and Kushner, said that the parties had not reached a compromise on the war in Ukraine, the Associated Press reports.
He also said that no meeting between Putin and Trump was planned yet. The subject of the conversation, as Ushakov reported, was "the framework of Trump's plan, not specific wording." In particular, the territorial issue was discussed.
"Some American proposals look more or less acceptable, but they need to be discussed. Some of the wording that was offered to us suits us," Putin's aide said.
