Leaders aligning on Ukraine security guarantees as path to peace

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump and European leaders discussed Ukraine's security guarantees as a start to ending the war.

"As for the topics, we talked about the security guarantee, this is a key issue, as a start to ending the war. That is, what should be at the end, namely protection, we start with it and start working," Zelenskyy said during a briefing in Washington.

"It is important that the US sends a clear signal that it will be among the countries that will help, coordinate, and also be participants in the security guarantee for Ukraine. I believe this is a big step forward," he said.
