ECHR issues unprecedented ruling on Russia's massive rights violations – commissioner
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has issued an unprecedented ruling in a major case brought by Ukraine and the Netherlands: it highlighted the scale of human rights violations by the Russian Federation and stated that the Russian Federation's actions are aimed at undermining democracy.
This was announced during an online briefing by the Commissioner for Cases at the European Court of Human Rights, Margarita Sokorenko, following the results of the ruling in the ECHR case "Ukraine and the Netherlands v. Russia."
