Starmer, Zelenskyy view Ukrainian-made drones with UK technology

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have inspected drones designed by Ukrainian manufacturers in Kyiv on Thursday.

As reported by an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, at the end of his visit to Kyiv, Starmer, along with the delegation, saw Ukrainian developments, noting Ukraine's significant progress in the defense industry.

The Prime Minister said that the 100-year partnership agreement concluded between Ukraine and the UK today is a statement of intent, which sends a message to both countries and to other countries. He also emphasized that it is really important to come and see the advanced technologies and the scale of change.

Starmer assured that the UK will stand and cooperate with Ukraine for as long as it takes. He also described what he saw today as partnership in action.

Zelenskyy thanked the UK and its Prime Minister for support and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of the 100-year partnership agreement, which will strengthen military, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Ukraine and the UK. The head of state also noted that Ukraine wants to develop and record number of drones and will develop this direction.

The UK Prime Minister emphasized that the words that Ukraine must be in the strongest position possible cannot just be words, there must be action. He welcomed UK-Ukrainian cooperation on some technologies to support drone development.

Among the drones on display that had UK components were the GOR and the Leleka 100M2. Starmer also saw a joint UK-Ukrainian product Bravery-M, designed in close cooperation between the Ukrainian company and the UK Ministry of Defense. Among other things, the Ukrainian President and the UK Prime Minister examined Ukrainian bombers R-34, Kazan E620, Vampire, Lucky Strike.
