Kyiv's twin city Brussels has handed over to the Ukrainian capital a batch of aid for the rehabilitation of wounded servicemen, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said Monday.

"Kyiv has received another batch of aid from the twin city of Brussels. One hundred modern beds for the rehabilitation of the military to one of the capital's hospitals was handed over from the mayor's office of Brussels by the head of international and economic relations, Marie-France Botte. Together with Mrs. Marie-France we talked to the fighters who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation here," he said on the Telegram channel.

The Kyiv mayor also noted that recently, with the assistance of Brussels Mayor Philippe Close, this hospital received a mobile operating X-ray unit (C-arc) and an X-ray-transparent multifunctional operating table to operate on military personnel with complex combat injuries and civilians.

"Brussels is also helping to equip Kyiv's medical facilities and to provide medical traineeships. During the full-scale war, they transferred to Kyiv, in particular, five ambulances, two fire trucks, a CT-apparatus, 28 beds with electric drive and mattresses for the rehabilitation of the military, 3,000 bulletproof vests to protect medics and workers of emergency, municipal services during the elimination of the consequences of Russian shelling," Klitschko said.
