Zelenskyy: Ukraine sought license for production of Patriot systems from USA, still got nothing
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he had asked the United States for the license for the production of the Patriot air defense system, but Ukraine still has not received it.
"I have voiced this many times, and I am telling you honestly about the United States of America. I asked them to give us the license for the production of Patriots. And it's like no one minds. No one has ever told me, 'No, we won't give it to you.' But we still have not gotten anything," he said in an interview with Le Parisien published on Wednesday.
The head of state emphasized that he asked the licenses to protect the sky with modern air defense systems.
"And still, after three years of war, we haven't received the number of systems we need so much," he said.
