The future U.S. special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg said on Friday that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will be able to find a solution to end the Russian war in Ukraine in the next few months.

"I really believe that this will be resolved within the next few months. Since the only person who can do this is President Donald Trump, and he will do it. They are tired of killing each other there," Kellogg said on Fox News.

To a journalist's question, he added that he would not be surprised if Trump invited Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin to the inauguration and held talks with them in Washington on resolving the situation in Ukraine.

"Could he do that? Of course he could. Trump is known for making bold moves," Kellogg said.

According to him, Trump often takes actions that "we look at with great surprise."

In late November, Trump said he would appoint former National Security Council Secretary Keith Kellogg as a special envoy for Ukraine.

This summer, Western media reported that Kellogg presented Trump with a plan to end the war in Ukraine, which included freezing the front lines and starting negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv. He proposed depriving Ukraine of American weapons if it did not agree to participate in the negotiation process.
