Zelenskyy on Orban's conversation with Putin: Talk about Russia's war against Ukraine cannot happen without it

Talk about the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine cannot happen without it; to achieve real peace, we need the determination of the United States and the unity of Europe, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to a phone call from Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Vladimir Putin.

"We all hope that Viktor Orban will not at least call Assad in Moscow on the phone to listen to his hour-long lectures. It is absolutely clear that to achieve real peace and guaranteed security, we need America's determination, the unity of Europe, and the determination of all partners to comply with the goals and principles of the UN Charter," Zelenskyy said on the X social network on Wednesday.

According to him, "we do not need to play on our own image at the expense of unity – we need to care about our common success." The president said it is unity in Europe that always brings success. "Talks about the war against Ukraine that Russia is waging cannot happen without Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.

He thanked U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and many European leaders with whom Ukraine is working to find the right and strong solutions for the sake of true peace.

As reported, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban held a phone conversation with Putin on Wednesday, December 11.
