Sybiha suggests number of measures to counter Russia's hybrid offensive against Europe
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha warned Europe about Russia's massive hybrid offensive and suggested urgent steps to protect, noting that Russia's actions against Georgia, Moldova and Romania are examples of hybrid actions.
“We urge all European governments and societies to recognize they are under attack and join efforts to curb Russia's malign influence,” he said on X.
The minister proposes to take a number of urgent steps as preventive measures, in particular, to completely block Russian propaganda, strengthen the activities of the police and counterintelligence, strengthen cyber defense and make the Schengen visa policy stricter with respect to Russian citizens.
The minister noted that Ukraine has “vast experience countering a variety of Russia's hybrid threats, from cyberattacks to disinformation campaigns and acts of sabotage.”
“We are ready to share our best knowledge and experience with our European partners to help preserve stable democratic development,” Sybiha stressed.
